Don’t waste time on haters. Let them waste their own time trying to destroy you when in reality they are destroying themselves with all the hate they have on their selves.

I came into thinking this thought above, when I came upon the post of Nomad Finance Girl in Facebook. She was talking about her readers telling her of a hater. But in that post she said she wouldn’t be writing for her haters, but only for herself and her readers.

And I quite agree with her. It was just logical not to waste time on those who hate you and wanted to destroy you. There’s a chance they might not hate you anymore if you entertain them and try to explain yourself to them. But there’s a much bigger chance that they won’t listen to you and won’t change their minds.

And you just wasted your time when you might be more productive pursuing your goals in life and continue doing what you love and what brings joy to you.

However, it is hard, emotionally, to know somebody hate you. It makes you question yourself and you’re worth. But the reality is not all people will love and like you. Some will not accept you. And that’s okay.

Unless we embrace this thought, we can’t have a peace of mind every time we know someone is hating on us.

And as I was mulling over these thoughts, a notification from Headspace app pops into my phone that reads:

Mindful Moment: Clarity comes from stillness in the same way that confusion comes from chaos. Find your peace and quiet today.

It felt just like the universe was giving me a signal to reinforce finding peace in my life. And one of this peace is accepting a hard truth of life.

Focus on doing the things you love and the things you enjoy.

You’re not everyone’s cup of tea. And it’s okay if someone hates you for being you. Spend time on what’s important for you.

Because your time is precious. And we will never regain the times we lost.

Choose how and what you spend your time on wisely.
